Volunteer Roles

Miigwetch for your interest in the Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services Volunteer Program. By participating in this way, you are supporting and connecting families in our communities by offering a priceless service with your time.

All volunteers must go through a mandatory screening process prior to acceptance in our Volunteer Program overseen by the Volunteer Coordinator and other departments. This includes a CPIC Vulnerable Sector Check as well as a minimum of two personal references.

How do I apply?

The Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services Volunteer Coordinator will assist you in the process of Volunteering. Call us toll-free at 1-855-223-5558, and ask to speak with the Volunteer Coordinator or send a Contact Form.  All of our volunteers are required to complete training, submit required documents, and will receive a mileage reimbursement for vehicle use.

Documents Required for Volunteer Applications

  • Vulnerable Sector / CPIC Background Check
  • Two pieces of government issued ID
  • Legally Certified Vehicle and Insurance
  • 3 Years Driver’s Abstract
  • Application form with 2 personal references, and any other applicable information.
